Due to the natural butters the balm can give some grains over time due to temperature change. Just make sure you have closed the lid very wel and put the jar in a bowl. Then cover it with hot water (just below boiling) and let it sit until the water is cooled a bit. Then let the balm cool and the grains are gone again.
